Researchers expect digitally transformed companies to contribute more than half of worldwide GDP by 2023.
And with digital transformation comes sophisticated software and millions of data points for decision-makers to analyse.
But many of these systems specialise in a particular area of business operation and deal with different types of data. For example, accounting and financial software are different from a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.
As a result, companies struggle to collate and analyse their data and create reports that give them an accurate picture of the business.
That’s why digitally transformed companies choose to centralise their data.
How Evitech and Energy Makeovers Centralised Their Data
Two of our clients, Evitech and Energy Makeovers, saw the value in digitalising their business. But their digital transformations left them using many different cloud systems to manage different parts of their businesses.
Some of the different software they use include:
- Workforce Management Software, e.g., Dataforce.
- Timesheet Software, e.g., T Sheets.
- Financial Systems, e.g., Xero.
- Call Centre Management and Dialler, e.g., VICIdial.
- CSV Programs, e.g., Excel.
This data was difficult to integrate and left them with multiple views on their operations. Plus, the systems they used didn’t provide report visualisation.
As a result, generating actionable insights was challenging.
How Insight38 Helped
We met with stakeholders at Evitech and Energy Makeovers to see what we were dealing with. After discussing their needs, we analysed their software choices to figure out the best way forward.
First, we created a data platform that could centralise our clients’ data into one location using Azure Data Lake, Python and SQL Server.
We then used complex logic to combine the disparate data, making it possible to create actionable reports, which we built in Power BI.
The results?
Our clients now have a single source of truth for their businesses rather than an incomplete jigsaw of insights.
These reports provide stakeholders with company-wide visibility at the touch of a button. Plus, the reports make it simple to uncover actionable insights thanks to Power BIs data visualisation.
Overall, this reporting helps Evitech and Energy Makeovers identify anomalies before they become a problem and support them in finding a solution.
For example, certain jobs in their existing systems fell through the gaps, leaving them incomplete. But through their new reporting and visualisation tools, our clients quickly found these jobs and created a solution for them.
As a result, our clients cleaned up their workflows and managed bottlenecks to increase productivity.
“Your solutions, ease of use, problem-solving, software logic and timeliness have been amazing. With the help of Insight38 and Power BIs solutions, we’re no longer bogged down by segregated data. I wish we connected earlier so that we could have solved our process & reporting pain points sooner.”

Create a Single Source of Truth Through Centralising Your Data
Segregated systems cause companies to miss vital insights that can improve their operations.
So rather than analysing each software’s data separately, centralise your data to:
- Gain an accurate picture of your company’s performance.
- Improve data visibility and transparency.
- Uncover data links that would otherwise be invisible.
